Kathryn Barr

Kathryn is a part of the soil group of the Saikawa lab! Particularly, she works on measuring the levels of DDT, DDE, and DDD in historic cotton farms' soil. In this study, Kathryn is trying to determine if the history of agricultural techniques affects the degradation of DDT into its metabolites, DDE and DDD. She plans on continuing this work for her honors thesis.
