Chiara Brust

Chiara is passionate about toxicology and the ways in which we can mitigate human exposure to environmental hazards. Over the summer, she worked on projects involving DDT and heavy metal contamination in soil. Chiara also recently joined the cough clinic study that is researching the relationship between COPD and air pollution. In the future, she hopes to be a part of a study involving plastic burning pollution in Guatemalan households under Dr. Saikawa and other Emory researchers. Chiara's very excited to work on so many different projects and learn about methods for assessing and mitigating toxic exposures around the world.
