Environmental Education Workshop

If you are a middle school or high school teacher interested in air quality and other environmental issues, we invite you to attend our environmental education workshop on January 13. Our lab has developed seven modules which can be easily incorporated into a lesson plan or after-school activity. We would love to share our work with you and hear your feedback! Lunch will be provided.

October 2021 - February 2022

The Saikawa lab is looking for schools to partner with to place low-cost air sensors on their campuses. The sensors are free of charge from Airly. The Saikawa lab placed the sensors on the school’s campus and linked the sensor’s updated data reports to our website hourly.

March 18th - 20th, 2022

Hack the Earth: People Focused, Earth Centered" is Emory’s environmental hackathon, where participants from across Atlanta compete to create solutions to real issues in less than 36 hours.

Winners Announced: April 22, 2021

The Georgia Air Quality Challenge is an experimental design challenge for students in grades 6-12. Students in this STEM challenge will partner with Air Emory to determine the placement of sensors in local communities in order to fill the gap in air quality data for Georgia.
